The WINNER
of our
CENTENARY
BADGE
COMPETITION

Our centenary badge design competition has been won by
Oliver Coombes.
It will appear throughout the year as the emblem of our 100 year celebrations and first and foremost on special Limited Edition Centenary Badges distributed at our launch event.

Congratulations Oliver.
A fantastic design that will take it's place in 1st Shepperton Scout Group history as a fitting and memorable logo for all our events and celebrations.

ALL Young People can go FREE
including coach transport, (Adults £25 - Full details via email)

For many months our Centenary Planning
Sub-Committee has been working on a whole range
of Activities, Events and Commemorative Souvenirs.
And they continue to meet each month to update
on progress and discuss new ideas.

At the start of the year we distributed a Questionnaire
(Click Here to download a copy)
to group members
to help us gauge interest in some of our proposals
this will help us to decide what ideas should be
progressed further.

Family Camp
Slightly damp but at least we managed the tentage
pitched in the dry. Great fun, and fantastic to see so
many of the Group all together for our biggest camp to date.
BIG Thanks to all those who helped make it
such a great success ;-)

Fund Raising
We are also looking at ways of raising funds specifically
to fund the Centenary events. Please consider what you
might be able to contribute to a ‘Promise Auction’.
Do you have your own business that might consider
a small donation (as we are a Registered Charity any
donation would be allowable against tax)
?

Donations
Any personal donations made could be eligible for
Gift Aid and could also be allowable for personal
tax relief if you pay tax at the higher rate.

Tesco and Sainsbury Vouchers
Firstly, a big thank to those who have sent in Tesco Schools & Sainsburys Active kids Vouchers in the past couple of weeks.
The original 300 has now risen to well over 1000!
If you would still care to contribute, please put Vouchers
in the box at HQ (the one on the Foyer Notice Board).
(We think they will be issued until 9th May
and we need to send our order in before 2nd July.

We are planning a second Commemorative Brochure
for the end of the year and all donations
will be acknowledged in that booklet.
